Meet Our Service Leader

Hi, I’m Sarah Verrusio, the Centre Director at Sakura Early Learning Centre here in beautiful Prahran. I’m genuinely passionate about early childhood education, and I care deeply about creating a place where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn—and where families feel just as welcome.

At Sakura, we care for children from babies through to preschool age, and I work closely with a wonderful team of dedicated educators. We all share the same goal: to nurture each child through respectful, play-based learning while building strong, trusting relationships with families. Our team brings a mix of experience, skills, and perspectives, which helps us create a warm and engaging environment where every child can thrive and feel a true sense of belonging.

Our centre is brand new and purpose-built, designed with children’s curiosity, creativity, and safety in mind. We follow the Early Years Learning Framework and, most importantly, work hand-in-hand with families. I truly believe that when we partner closely with you, we can better support your child’s individual strengths, interests, and cultural identity.
